I’m a freelance feature writer and copywriter specialising in British life, history, arts, culture and lifestyle.
A University of St Andrews graduate, I have written features under both Emily Allen and my current professional name, Emily Innes-Whitehouse, for publications including Country Life, Metro, Horse & Hound and Discover Britain, covering subjects from literature and culture to the people, places and stories that make Britain unique.
Alongside feature writing, I have more than five years’ experience writing B2C, D2C and B2B copy, both in-house and agency-side. I write for a wide range of platforms, including websites, products, email, advertising and social media, creating clear, engaging copy that connects with audiences and delivers results.
